Elevator Usage Guidelines

All moves in or out, deliveries, pick-ups and remodeling, whether performed by professionals or owner/renters, must adhere to the following guidelines:

  • All items are required to enter the elevator lobbies, elevators and hallways under the following conditions. All items being moved are to be in closed moving boxes. If items are too awkward to be put into a box, such as furniture, bed frames, etc., then there are two alternatives:
    • Each item must be completely covered, padded and taped so that items do not inadvertently “open” or separate from the padding.
    • The mover has the option of putting loose items in one of the Association’s Speed Boxes and covering it with the lid.
  • All movement of renovation material or equipment , whether performed by professionals or owner/renters, must adhere to one of the following guidelines:
    • All renovation debris must be broken down and placed in the Speed Boxes with lid closed.
    • Any items not fitting into the Speed Box, such as old appliances, etc., must be completely covered, padded and taped so that items do not inadvertently “open” or separate from the padding.
  • All minor deliveries and pick-ups, whether they are performed by professionals or owner/renters, must adhere to one of the following guidelines when entering the elevator lobbies, elevators and hallways:
    • Items may be placed on the luggage cart.
    • Items may be placed in the Speed Box with the lid closed.
    • Items that do not fit in either of the above mentioned must be either boxed or completely covered, padded and taped so that items do not inadvertently “open” or separate from the padding.

Special Notes:

  • Elevator Size is limited = approximately 7′-6” high by 7′ wide narrowing to 5’-6” wide by 4′ deep. The approximate elevator door dimensions are 7’ high by 36” wide.
  • Any item moved, in any situation, must always be placed on a platform with wheels or carried the full way by hand. Items are never to be dragged or pulled on any flooring surface in 345.
