Annual Unit Owners Budget Meeting

The Annual Unit Owners Budget Meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at 7:00 PM, in the 345 Lobby.

The regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Directors will follow the Budget Meeting, at approximately 7:30 PM, in the Management Office.

Many of you will have noticed that the pedestrian crossing at Fullerton to the east side of Lakeview has been discontinued. Many residents are very upset, mainly because now two streets must be crossed instead of just one to get to the park. There is a petition to the alderman at the front desk that reads:

To: Alderman Michele Smith

We the residents of 345 Fullerton Parkway Condominium Association protest the elimination of the pedestrian crossing light at Fullerton Parkway and the east side of Lakeview Avenue.

This is not a fair solution to safety problems that exist at this crossing. It will force pedestrians all along this block who are on their way to the park or to the bus stop across the park to cross Fullerton at the west side of Lakeview Avenue and then have to cross Lakeview Avenue as well, doubling the chance of being hit by one of the many cars that run red lights at this intersection. There are many elderly residents in the affected buildings along this block. Making it easier for cars to race through this crossing next to Lincoln Park will make the area less safe.

A better solution would be to install a pedestrians-only crossing light with a pushbutton to activate it.
