CALL TO ACTION – HOUSE BILL 4609 AND MANDATED FIRE SPRINKLERS‏

EMAIL COMMUNICATION FROM STATE REPRESENTATIVE SARA FEIGENHOLTZ

Dear Friend,

You are one of the 6,000 people who have signed my Lakefront Coalition for Responsible Fire Sprinkler Policy petition in the past month [http://www.staterepsara.com/get-involved/fire-safety-petition/]. I truly appreciate you showing your support for House Bill 4609 [http://ilga.gov/legislation/billstatus.asp?DocNum=4609&GAID=12&GA=98&DocTypeID=HB&LegID=79168&SessionID=85], which will ensure that any potential changes to state fire sprinkler laws are created with more transparency, adequate public input, and open discussion in the General Assembly.

Due in part to your advocacy on this issue, the bill has been granted a final action deadline extension to May 31, 2014.

If you have not already, please share the Lakefront Coalition for Responsible Fire Sprinkler Policy petition with three or more friends, family members, or neighbors and encourage them to sign the petition and share their concerns. We will easily double or triple our efforts if you share this email with other people you know who will be affected by mandated fire sprinklers.

Thank you very much for your tremendous support on this issue. I will keep you posted on new developments, and let you know how you may be able to help in the near future.

You can also follow me on Facebook, Twitter, and check our website for regular updates.

Sincerely,
Sara Feigenholtz,
State Representative
12th District
