TO ALL RESIDENTS:
An application was made on January 26, 2012, by TAB Restaurants, Inc., for an “Incidental” liquor license for a proposed Café Viaggio being built in the ground floor at 401–403 West Fullerton Parkway (The Patricians apartment building). Any letter in protest or in support of this application must be received within 40 days of that date (by March 6, 2012) to be considered.
The Café Viaggio is aiming to open on April 1st with a 66-seat restaurant, a 16-seat bar, and a 40-seat outdoor patio along Fullerton Parkway. The menu and pricing will be similar to that at the West Loop Viaggio Ristorante owned as well by Sam Villardito. Their website is www.viaggiochicago.com. Mr Villardito denied that the Café will feature classic black-and-white gangster movies synced to 60s and 70s Motown hits, as reported in chicago.eater.com.
The 345 Board of Directors encourages you to voice your opinion by writing a letter in support or protest. Thus far, only registered voters have been notified of the application, yet it is the right of every resident to be heard. You may if you wish request a public hearing on the issue and also send a copy of your letter to 43rd Ward Alderman Michele Smith.
